Yes, that was a pretty quintessential dialogue, wasn't it? Stewart is not usually that grumpy, but that is what he thinks of the issue. He seemed reachable when I first engaged him (in person) on this topic.
If only you and I were more open to such persuasive argument...

Has anyone who starts with a position like Stewart does in the initial tweet, ever shown actual willingness to be persuaded otherwise?
I have had two people over the years, who initially displayed all the usual WUWT fan boy characteristics, tell me in private correspondence that they had been persuaded that the problem is real and anthropogenic. Considering the total numbers, it is probably not statistically distinguishable from zero.
But really, we should all be doing it for the lurkers, right? I never expect to, nor emotionally invest in swaying any particular individual I choose to debatie with, it is all about setting the record straight and persuading the audience.
